Up early this morning, the sun a change from yesterdays soggy mood. Bounced out of bed to grab some of the golden rays by sweeping the driveway of leaves and by bagging the rotting green and yellow quince that had fallen from their tree. Yet another year where I have forgotten to invite neighbours to pick free fruit. Rather sad that they end up fermenting in a heap year after year. Jam makers in our area would probably love to reconstruct the pear shape fruit into a delicious preserve, the color itself is a delight to the eye.
So much to work on and not enough time to do it all. The studio is full of imcomplete works that beg completion. Struggling with my clay figurines due to inconsistancy in the slip which we find to be different every time we buy even though the product is branded. So I have many pieces waiting completion. Have to figure how to mend already fired Bisque as I need to apply my heads to their bodies, can't have queens with loose heads, sure it will explain current political chaos however artifacts need to be sturdy.
Above: unfinished piece,.... soon to be king.
My heart says that anything I do
Is too significant
Because the God-Touch
Is always there.
Needless to say,
This includes my Artwork.
That being said I think its time for me to close up here. Looking out my window the sun has since softened and threatens to leave again. I am off to the studio....
The thought I chew on today.....
True, in my Art I want to see
The face of earth's beauty.
But I want to see
The heart of Heaven's Divinity
More, infinitely more.
